  • Create a garden with year round colour

    THURS 25 FEB & THURS 28 SEPT 2027
Create a garden with year round colour

Successional planting is the art of layering plants so your garden is full of colour, texture and interest month after month. It's great for the birds & bees, and it's about choosing bulbs, perennials, annuals, shrubs & trees that follow on from each other  The start or end of the year is an ideal time to plan. In this course you will learn how to read your borders like a calendar, noticing the lulls in colour,  enhancing your existing colour palette & combining plants so that your garden never has a dull moment.

  • Pots That Perform

    TUES 13 APRIL & THURS 5 OCT 2027
    Pots That Perform

Growing in pots is one of the simplest ways to keep your garden looking good all year. We explore colour, compost mixes, feeding routines, & successful drought resistant plant combinations that keep your pots attractive for months rather than weeks.  In Autumn we dive into bulb lasagnes for next spring, & in Spring, summer bulbs that last until October.  You’ll learn about layering bulbs in pots & borders, which bulbs work together, how deep to plant to plant, & how to create pots that delight.
